Appaloosa (NAp, ApAp)
This marking covers part of the body in a solid color, with hard-edged "holes" in it showing the base color and markings underneath.
Edge
This marking should have a hard, textured, or furred texture edge.
The holes should have a hard edge.
Range
In its heterozygous (NAp) form, it may cover up to 25% of the body.
In its homozygous (ApAp) form, it may cover up to 75% of the body.
Note that the range below is just to show an approximation of coverage; Appaloosa can appear anywhere on the body.
Appearance
Appaloosa creates a hard-edged marking that somewhat resembles Piebald or Inked, but has small "holes" in it that show the base color and any markings underneath.
