Mottled (nMot, MotMot)

Mottled creates small spots along the spine, which 'fade' out to even smaller spots along the sides of the body.

Mottled may be any natural color lighter or darker than the base coat.

It is a companion marking to Blot, and may resemble examples found in that guide.

Edge

This marking should have a mottled edge.

Range

Mottled must cover at the very least the minimum range and may not extend past the maximum range.
This marking does not need to completely fill the minimum range in a solid color, but the marking should still adhere to the rules detailed below.

Appearance

Mottled must appear to solidify at the highest points of the body, with spots growing thinner downwards as you go further down the side.
It may be any natural color darker or lighter than the base coat as defined in the Color Guide.

This marking must connect to itself regardless of whether or not a place is in range.
