BASE COLORS
Base coats are the main colors of your Amoux, and are what every marking lays on top of. Base coats may have a subtle gradient within it, but anything more extreme must have Ombre present.

Null
Genotype:
cc/pp/oo
Null occurs when none of the base coat genes pass. Null may use any number of the 7 base colors, in any combinations. It cannot, however, use more than one color of each base (no base gradients or patches of other shades!). They can be joined in hard, textured, or soft edges, and can have large or small patches.

The interaction between bases MAY NOT form shapes that resemble existing markings! You can avoid this by breaking up large blocks (e.g. The head or tail one color, resembling Cap or Tag respectively) with smaller, irregular patches of other bases. The amounts of each base showing do not have to be equal. You may have an Amoux with mostly one base, and only small patches of others, a solid-based Amoux, or you may balance the bases, but it is up to you.
Markings may be one color above all bases, or may change color with each base. Markings which are specifically a lighter or darker color than the base (Freckled/Starry, Moondrops/Sundrops, Mirage, and Flecking, for instance) MUST match whichever base they are over. Other markings may change color depending on the base as well (especially with Sable and other gradient markings, but it can apply to others as well), but this is optional.

Null is unique in that you may choose which of the markings in the geno, if any, the design shows. None of the markings have to show on Null, although you should make a note for the design admins of which markings are being shown or not. You may NOT restrict each marking to a single base, as this would resemble Chimerism too much.

Other Things to Note
Things that can affect base colors:
Recessive Color Mutations such as Albino, Erythristic, Melanistic, Hypomelanistic, Leucistic, Xanthic, and the Garnet/Citrine/Aquamarine colors and combinations.
There are also 'illegal bases'. If an Amoux has parents with a base color not on the regular swatches (and is not modified by any color or base modifying gene), it may be color picked as the base of the offspring. This color must be exactly the same as the parent. These are considered 'Illegal Colors'.
