Axanthic (Naxn, axnaxn)

Axanthism is a recessive color mutation that causes a lack of all pigment but melanin.

This mutation must be in its homozygous form (axnaxn) to be visible!

Edge

N/A, color modifier

Range

N/A, this is a mutation that affects the entire Amoux.

Appearance

Axanthism causes a complete lack of yellow and red pigment, so the Amoux will appear fully desaturated.

The eyes must be gray or silver.

The skin must be white, gray, or black.

The claws must be white, gray, or black colored.

All markings show, but must be a shade of gray/white/black.

Vibrant color bases cannot affect this mutation due to the lack of all pigments besides melanin.

Tip: The easiest way to achieve the correct effect is to design your Amoux normally, then apply a white layer over the top of the design and set it to "saturation" .

This guide shows both an example with normal saturation and example(s) with the modified saturation to help visually compare the differences - do not refer to the normal example for coloration!
