Hypermelanistic (Nhype, hypehype)
Hypermelanism is a recessive color mutation that causes the Amoux to show partial overproduction of melanin pigmentation.
This mutation must be in its homozygous form (hypehype) to be visible!
Edge
N/A, color modifier
Range
N/A, this is a mutation that affects the entire Amoux.
Appearance
Hypermelanism, or Hype for short, causes a partial overproduction of melanin pigment, so the Amoux will appear darker in color.
Vibrant color mutations will cause the Amoux to change to their corresponding color, but Hype should still be layered over it to give it that darker color.
Tip: The easiest way to achieve the correct effect is to design your Amoux normally, then apply a black layer over the top of the design and, and reduce the opacity to ~40%-70%.
This guide shows both an example with normal saturation and example(s) with the modified coloration to help visually compare the differences - do not refer to the normal example for coloration!

Normal coloration; Clay with Cap, Socks, and Tag
Coloration layer at 40% opacity, minimum

Coloration layer at 70% opacity, maximum
