Hypomelanistic (Nhypo, hypohypo)

Hypomelanism is a recessive color mutation that causes the Amoux to only show partial melanin pigmentation.

This mutation must be in its homozygous form (hypohypo) to be visible!

Edge

N/A, color modifier

Range

N/A, this is a mutation that affects the entire Amoux.

Appearance

Hypomelanism, or Hypo for short, causes a partial lack of melanin pigment, so the Amoux will appear lighter in color.

Vibrant color mutations will cause the Amoux to change to their corresponding color, but Hypo should still layer over it to give that lighter coloration.

Tip: The easiest way to achieve the correct effect is to design your Amoux normally, then apply a white layer over the top of the design and reduce the opacity to ~40%-70%.

This guide shows both an example with normal coloration and example(s) with the modified coloration to help visually compare the differences - do not refer to the normal example for coloration!
