Melanistic (Nmel, melmel)
Melanism is a recessive color mutation that causes an overproduction of the melanin pigment.
This mutation must be in its homozygous form (melmel) to be visible!

Appearance
Melanism causes an overproduction in pigment, so the Amoux will appear black or dark brown. You may choose one of the following sliders for the color.

The eyes must be gray, gold, or brown.
The skin color must be selected from one of the above palettes.
The claws must be selected from one of the above palettes.
Markings can either be fully present or fully absent.
The mouth and teeth can also be black if you choose.
Vibrant color mutations will cause the Amoux to become an off-black color of the corresponding color, but it still must appear nearly black.
Melanistic can show faded dark brown spots on the
extremities, as shown in this example.
