Vitiligo (Nvit, vitvit)
Vitiligo is a recessive color mutation that causes pigment deterioration over time.
This mutation must be in its homozygous form (vitvit) to be visible!
Edge
This marking must have a textured or soft textured edge.

Range
Vitiligo can affect as little as 10% of the body, and up to 90% of the body.

Appearance
Vitiligo causes an onset breakdown of pigment. It is different from Piebald in that it may be a tinted white color of the base color, and must always have a textured hard or soft edge. Vitiligo may not have the halo that is allowed with Piebald.
If Vitiligo is covering an eye, claw or skin areas, those areas are allowed to be a different color from the others not affected by Vitiligo. However, they must be light colors.
Vitiligo layers over most other markings, refer to the Marking Layering guide for more info.
